Why does silicone lubricant last longer than water-based?

Water-based gel loses its glide because the water in it evaporates or is absorbed by the skin, which is why you have to reapply. Silicone does not evaporate. It stays put until it is washed off, and that is exactly what makes it go so far. For long sessions and for anything in water it is the more reliable choice.

Why must it not touch silicone toys?

Because silicone attacks silicone. The oil in the gel softens the surface of a silicone toy, it turns dull, then tacky, and there is no undoing that. With silicone toys use a water-based lubricant instead. With glass, metal and ABS, silicone gel is no problem at all.

Does it work with condoms and how do I wash it off?

It is compatible with latex condoms, unlike oil-based products. On skin and fabric it is stubborn: water alone will not do it, you need soap. It can leave marks on bedding, so a towel underneath saves trouble. Store the bottle cool, dry and tightly closed.
