• Watch the water temperature: too warm and the alginate sets too early, too cold and it does not set at all. Lukewarm is right.
• Lay everything out beforehand: once you start mixing you only have a few minutes.
• Trim body hair: alginate clings to it and makes release uncomfortable.
• Pour slowly: in a thin stream, so no air bubbles are trapped.
• Let it cure completely: after a fading erection, releasing too early is the second most common mistake.
