Body lingerie & catsuits for women – alluring from head to toe

A piece that follows the whole body needs no matching separates – that is the appeal. Here bodystockings, bodysuits and dresses stand side by side: from gossamer mesh that suggests more than it covers, through opaque bodysuits with lace panels, to short dresses. What they share is the continuous cut: no waistband, no transition, no gap where anything could slip.

Styles for every taste

The largest group are bodystockings – wafer-thin mesh or lace pieces running from the neck to the toes. Many of them are deliberately crotchless or have a crotch opening; eight models carry “catsuit” in their name because they close like a second skin. Alongside them are bodysuits and teddies – more opaque, often with lace, cups and snap fasteners at the crotch – as well as short mini and lace dresses for anyone who prefers it a little less tight. Garter sets, lingerie sets and stockings round the selection off.

🔍 Bodystocking, bodysuit or dress – which is which?

The three terms get mixed up a lot, but they mean quite different things. A bodystocking is a continuous mesh or lace suit down to the feet – wafer-thin, very stretchy, usually one size. A bodysuit ends at the legs like a swimsuit, is made more opaque and normally has snap fasteners at the crotch. A dress is simply a short dress – the only cut here that you also wear with underwear beneath it.

In practice: bodystockings are made to be seen and take little wear, bodysuits are more everyday, dresses the most discreet. If you are unsure which cut matches what you have in mind, the photos tell you more than the label does.

  • ✅ Bodystocking – wafer-thin, one size, often crotchless
  • ✅ Bodysuit – more opaque, snap fasteners, in graded sizes
  • ✅ Dress – short cut, wearable with underwear beneath
  • 🚫 Never put mesh in the machine – one thread is enough for a hole

For special moments

A catsuit or a piece of body lingerie is the perfect highlight for special nights, photo shoots or as a daring statement piece. The full-body fit gives a flawless look with no awkward transition between top and bottom – simply put it on and shine.

Fit & sizes

Full-body lingerie almost always comes in combined sizes: one size, XS/M, S/M, L/XL and XXL/XXXL. That sounds vague but it is deliberate – the materials stretch strongly, and a one-size bodystocking fits across a surprisingly wide range. What matters with these pieces is not bust or hip measurement but body length: if you are very tall you notice it at the crotch first, not at the width. When in doubt, take the larger combined size.

🧺 So that mesh and lace survive

Fine mesh is the most delicate material in the whole lingerie range. A rough fingernail, a ring or an open zip in the same drum is enough for a ladder. So: hand wash in lukewarm water, do not wring, dry flat. If it really has to be the machine, then in a laundry bag on a delicates cycle.

The same care when putting it on: rings off, and gather and roll the piece on rather than climbing into it. And if lubricant is involved – silicone-based gel leaves stains on light fabrics that are hard to get out again. Water-based is the less troublesome choice here.

🔗 What goes with it

If you prefer to combine two pieces, the tops are under For the Top and the bottoms under For Down There. The complete selection for her is under Lingerie for women.

❓ Frequently asked questions

What does “crotchless” mean?

That the piece is left open at the crotch – it does not have to come off for sex. Many bodystockings are cut this way; with bodysuits you will usually find snap fasteners or a crotch opening instead.

Does one size really fit almost everyone?

Across a wide range, yes, because the material stretches strongly. The limit is body length rather than girth: on very tall wearers the crotch sits too low long before anything becomes too tight anywhere.

Are there wet-look or vinyl pieces here?

Not in this selection – this is mesh, lace and opaque fabrics. Wet-look and vinyl pieces are in the wider selection under Lingerie for women.

How do I wash a bodystocking?

By hand, lukewarm, without wringing, and dried flat. Machine only in a laundry bag on a delicates cycle – zips and hooks on other items are the most common cause of ladders.

Can I wear underwear underneath?

With dresses yes, with bodysuits depending on the cut, with bodystockings rarely sensible – those are meant to sit on the skin and show every seam beneath them.

Are these pieces suitable for everyday wear?

The dresses and many bodysuits certainly are. Bodystockings are too delicate and too revealing for that – they rarely survive more than one evening.
