How does the off-shoulder neckline sit?

The tension of the knit keeps the edge in place. If you raise your arms above your head it rides up a little; settled once, it stays put again. You can also pull it up over the shoulders, which turns it into a wide, round neckline.

What does one size mean?

It is meant for EU 34 to 40. With a footed bodystocking it is above all the length that counts: the lace gives a long way in width, but hardly from the neckline to the toes. On a very tall frame the crotch therefore pulls downwards.

Does it have to come off for sex?

No, thanks to the open crotch it stays on when things get going, and for a trip to the loo as well.

How do I put it on without damaging it?

Like tights: rings off, nails checked, gather one leg down to the toe, slip in and roll it up in small stages, then the second leg. Only once the crotch sits right do the arms go into the sleeves.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it straight away. In the floral pattern the spot is hardly noticeable afterwards.

Do you wear anything underneath?

It is not necessary. A thong or adhesive cups change the effect without interrupting the continuous line.

How is it washed?

By hand in cold water or in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. Tumble dryer and fabric softener take the tension out of the yarn.

What goes with it?

Heels and not much else. If it gets worn often, thin socks inside the shoe are worth it, because the foot sits in the lace part and a rough insole rubs exactly there. What can be worn over it is under for the top.
