Is this real leather?

It is bonded leather, meaning bound leather fibres with a PU and PVC surface. It looks like leather but is not grown smooth leather and needs no leather grease.

How is it closed?

One end of the strap has a stud, the other has several punched holes. You push the stud through the hole that suits your head and so set the width in steps. To take it off, you pull the stud back out in one move.

Does it block the view completely?

The wide band covers both eyes fully. Depending on the shape of the face, a little light can get in at the nose cut-out and the edges, so it is not complete darkness.

What do you watch for in play?

Nose and mouth stay free; the blindfold rests only on the eyes. Do not pull the strap so tight that it presses on the temples. Whoever cannot see depends on their partner: in bondage play the other person always stays in the room, and a stop word agreed beforehand ends everything at once.
