How tightly may someone be restrained?

Tightly enough that two fingers fit between cuff and skin. Wide cuffs spread the pressure and do not press on the nerves in the wrist; if the hand still goes cold, pale or numb, release it at once. Keep scissors ready beforehand to cut through the rope in seconds in an emergency, and never leave anyone restrained alone in the room.

What should be discussed beforehand?

Limits and a safeword. A safeword is a word that is not part of the play and at which everything stops at once, no questions and no discussion. Whoever wears the ball gag cannot speak and therefore needs a signal instead of a word, such as tapping three times or dropping an object.

How long may someone stay restrained?
