What is eyelash lace?

Lace whose edges end in fine, slightly projecting threads, much like a row of eyelashes. It gives the neckline, sleeves and hem a soft edge. These threads do catch easily on rings, hook-and-loop fasteners or rough fingernails.

Does the robe close?
