The Ball Stretcher by Steel is a ball ring made of high-gloss polished stainless steel. It sits above the testicles around the scrotum and draws it down with its own weight, so the skin there stretches noticeably. The ring consists of two halves that you place around the scrotum and join with two small hex screws; nothing has to be squeezed through a tight opening. How is the ball stretcher put on?

In two halves around the scrotum. Undo both screws with the hex key, place the halves around the skin above the testicles so the testicles lie below, and screw them firmly back together. Make sure no skin gets caught in the joint. It is easiest when warm and relaxed; a little lubricant, for example from water-based lubricant, helps when adjusting it. Stainless steel takes any lubricant.

How long may it be worn?

Only briefly at first, 20 to 30 minutes at most in total. If you take blood thinners or have circulation problems, talk to a doctor first. At any pain, numbness, coldness, discolouration or swelling, unscrew it at once. Never tug at it and do not fall asleep wearing it. Steel cannot be cut open in an emergency, so keep the key within reach at all times. If you put it on a partner, never leave them alone with it.

Which height suits me?

The flatter one to begin with. It weighs a good third less than the taller version and keeps the testicles closer to the body. The taller one brings more weight and more distance and is more for those who already know the feeling. As the inner diameter stays the same, both sit equally tight.

How is it cleaned and stored?

With warm water and mild soap, before and after every use. Stainless steel has no pores and does not rust. Take the screws out for this, clean the threads as well and dry everything thoroughly. The small screws are easily lost; keep them together with the ring and the key in a dry place.
