❓ FAQ

What does the gel on the inside do?

It is called Performa, contains 5 % benzocaine and reduces the sensitivity of the penis. As long as the condom sits the right way round, the gel touches only the penis and not the other person.

What do you watch out for when sensation is dulled?

Friction and pain reach you later. So stop as soon as something feels unpleasant instead of pushing past it. If the skin burns or itches, take the condom off and wash the gel off with lukewarm water. If you react sensitively to benzocaine, you are better off with condoms without this gel.

How do you put it on correctly?

Open the foil carefully with your fingers, without teeth and without scissors. Squeeze the reservoir, place the condom on the erect penis and roll it all the way down. If the rolled rim is on the inside, it is the wrong way round; turning it over would bring the gel to the outside, so take a new one. After ejaculation, hold the rim and withdraw the penis before it goes soft.

What applies to latex?

If you have a latex allergy, you must not use these condoms, because a reaction can go as far as anaphylactic shock. As an additional lubricant only a water- or silicone-based one will do, for example from water-based lubricant; oil, petroleum jelly and body lotion make latex brittle.

How often do you use one, and how do you store them?

Each condom only once, and never two on top of each other, because they rub against each other and tear more easily. They are stored cool, dry and out of sunlight; before opening, check the expiry date and the foil. Once used, they go knotted into the general waste.

How reliably do condoms protect?

No condom protects one hundred per cent. Used correctly, it lowers the risk of sexually transmitted infections and of unplanned parenthood.
