Where do you apply the scent?

Where the skin is warm: on the wrists, the sides of the neck, behind the ears or in the crook of the arm. Hold the atomiser a hand’s width away and start with one or two sprays. Do not rub the scent in; let it dry on its own.

When can you tell whether it suits you?

Not in the first few minutes. A scent changes on the skin, and what remains after a few hours smells different from the first impression. So wear it for a whole day before you judge; it smells a little different on every skin.

Skin or clothing?

On fabric the scent lacks body warmth, so it smells different there than on the skin. If you want to spray it on clothing, try it first on a hidden spot, because light or delicate fabrics can get marks from the alcohol.

What about sensitive skin?

Spray the scent once on the inside of your elbow first and wait a few hours. If the spot burns or reddens, wash it off and stop using it. It does not go on irritated or broken skin or on mucous membranes, and you leave out freshly shaved areas too. Never spray towards the face; if some gets into an eye anyway, rinse it out straight away with clear water.

How do you store the bottle?

With the cap on, cool and dark and where children cannot reach it. A sunny windowsill, the radiator or a car in summer are bad places, because light and heat change a scent over time. As the eau de toilette contains a lot of alcohol, also keep it away from heat and open flames.
