What is a tongue at the tip for?

It works where otherwise there is only pressure. The tip rests inside against the front wall and normally only gives off vibration; a flicking tongue sets a rhythm there instead. Held still it is clearly felt, during thrusting it is lost.

What does the spiral on the shaft do?

It rewards turning. With straight ribs nothing happens when twisting because the same edge rests everywhere; with a spiral the ridge travels up or down and turns a rotation into a movement.

What is the transparent collar for?

It separates the moving part from the handle. The shaft travels and turns while the handle stays put, and a seal has to sit between them; through the clear plastic you can see whether it is clean. That is exactly where lubricant otherwise collects unnoticed.

How is it cleaned?

Warm water and toy cleaner, keeping clear of the charging contacts and letting it dry completely. The only lubricant that belongs with it is water-based lubricant, because silicone-based products attack the surface.
