The Rider by CalExotics is a vibrator to sit on: a wide, flat silicone seat pad with a short, upright shaft rising from its centre. The pad is anatomically shaped and has curved ridges that you glide along when circling and grinding. The shaft has several rings at its base and moves up and down with a thrusting action. Two motors work independently of each other and together offer twelve functions. It is controlled with a small two-button remote, so you can decide yourself or hand control to someone else. A USB charging cable with two plugs is included. The remote is oval and the same colour as the toy. It sits under vibrators, under sextoys for women and in our sex toys for couples section.

How do I switch it on?

Turn it over: the on/off button sits on the underside. As soon as the function lights flash, the remote takes over control.

How do I use it best?

Put it on a firm, level surface such as a chair or the bed and sit on it. You circle or grind over the ridges with your pelvis while the shaft enters and thrusts; how deep is decided by your weight. Set a low function before you sit down.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one, and plenty of it on shaft and pad. Silicone-based lubricant can attack the silicone. A selection is under water-based lubricant.

May it go in water?

Yes, to IPX7 it is submersible. Before charging, however, the charging port has to be dry again.

How do I clean it?

Wash the shaft and pad with warm water and a sex toy cleaner, rinsing the ridges and rings thoroughly. Then let it air-dry. Just wipe the remote with a damp cloth.
