🌿 Intimate care that suits you
The intimate area reacts more sensitively than other skin. Mild, pH-friendly intimate care supports your natural sense of wellbeing without irritating the skin. So you feel fresh all round – day to day and in intimate moments.
What you will find here
- Washing lotions for gentle daily cleansing.
- Caring products for a comfortable feel on the skin.
- Refreshing sprays and wipes for in between.
🧪 Why ordinary soap does not belong here
The vaginal flora keeps itself clean – by way of an acidic pH of around 3.8 to 4.5. Lactobacilli take care of that, keeping pathogens in check. Ordinary soap sits at pH 9 to 10 and cancels exactly that protection out. This is not a marketing argument for intimate care, it is the entire reason it exists: a pH-matched wash gel cleans without rinsing away the bacteria that do the work.
The second point matters even more and is the one most often got wrong: you do not wash on the inside. The vagina cleans itself. Douching and shower gel used internally remove the protective flora and raise the risk of infection rather than lowering it – even when it feels cleaner. Washing happens on the outside only, on the vulva, with lukewarm water or a mild, pH-matched product.
- ✅ Wash the outside only – the body cleans the inside itself
- ✅ pH-matched (3.8–4.5) rather than ordinary soap
- 🚫 No fragrance, no intimate deodorant, no alcohol-based wipes
- ✅ Pat dry after washing, do not rub
🚿 For him, and for irritation
For men the same principle applies in a simpler form: clean under the foreskin daily with clear, lukewarm water and leave no soap residue – residue is the most common cause of irritation. Shower gel belongs on the outside, not underneath.
If the skin still reacts, the usual suspects are worth a look: scented detergent, daily panty liners, underwear that is too tight – and lubricants with plenty of glycerin. A water-based lubricant with low osmolality is considerably gentler. If irritation lasts more than a few days, it belongs with a doctor rather than with yet more care products.
Tips for use
Go for products explicitly intended for the intimate area, and skip heavily scented soaps. After playing with toys, cleaning your toys rounds off the care. For relaxed moments together, our massage products fit well, and the right lubricant adds comfort. Also pat the intimate area dry gently after washing rather than rubbing, and give the skin breaks from scented products. That way your natural balance stays intact and you feel comfortable long term. Useful background on tolerability is in our guide to using lubricant.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Is water not enough?
For many people, yes – lukewarm water on its own is entirely fine. A mild, pH-matched wash gel is an addition, not a requirement.
Should I rinse internally?
No. The vagina cleans itself. Douching removes the protective flora and raises the risk of infection.
Why does the smell change sometimes?
It changes across the cycle, and that is normal. A markedly different smell together with itching or discharge belongs with a doctor – not covered up.
Are intimate deodorants a good idea?
No. They only mask things and irritate the mucous membrane on top of that. If the smell bothers you, the cause is the subject, not the fragrance.
What helps with irritation after sex?
Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry, wear breathable underwear. And next time use a low-glycerin lubricant – that is the cause more often than people think.
How is it delivered?
In neutral packaging that gives no clue as to the contents, and the same applies to the debit on your bank statement. Shipping within Germany is free, with no minimum order value.
