The CBL Anal Lube by Cobeco is a water-based anal lubricant from the Cobeco Body Lube range, latex-safe, in a bottle. Nothing gets wet by itself anally, and everything else follows from that. Take more than you think you need, and top up before it drags, not once it is already uncomfortable, because friction grows with every minute. Water-based means it dries out over time and a few drops of water make it glide again. Numbing is no help here: pain during anal sex is a warning sign, and anyone who numbs it away notices an injury only later. A good anal gel works through glide, not through sensation. What does the bottle look like?

Black, with a black cap and the “Anal Lube” lettering in blue and white. The CBL Body Lube belongs to the same range and comes in the same bottle, with red lettering.

How do you get it off again?

From the skin with lukewarm water. Marks on the bed linen come out in a normal wash, but a towel underneath saves you changing the sheets.

Is it compatible with condoms and toys?

Yes. As a water-based gel it is compatible with condoms and with silicone toys. Anally, you only use toys with a wide base, which stops them slipping all the way in.

How do you store the bottle?

Tightly closed at room temperature, not on a radiator and not in the sun. If the gel is cool, warm it briefly between your hands before applying it.

How do you clean toys afterwards?

With lukewarm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner. Then let them air-dry before putting them away.
