Super Smooth is JoyDivision's everyday anal lubricant: set thicker than a normal water gel so it stays where it is needed. That is exactly what matters in anal sex, because the rectum produces no moisture of its own - the gel is the only source there is, which is why plenty of it is not a recommendation but the ground rule. A water base means compatible with everything: with condoms as well as with silicone toys, and washable off with water rather than soap. The familiar drawback remains - it dries in over time, and on longer sessions topping up comes with it; a few drops of water also bring a dried-in water gel back. What the gel does not contain matters just as much: no numbing additives and no phthalates. Pain during anal sex is a warning you need to be able to hear - numb it away and you notice an injury only afterwards. How much lubricant do you need anally?

More than most people take. The rectum produces no moisture of its own, the gel is the only source - the anal sex guide goes into it in detail.

Why is it thicker than a normal lubricant?

So it stays put. A thin gel spreads and disappears; a thicker one stays where it is needed - in anal sex the decisive difference.

Why without numbing additives?

Because pain during anal sex is a warning. A gel without anaesthetics is therefore the safe choice, even if it feels slower.

Does it get on with toys and condoms?

With both. That is the advantage of a water base: silicone oil attacks silicone toys, oil makes condoms unsafe - a water gel has neither problem.

Do you have to top it up?

On longer sessions yes, that comes with a water base. The gel dries in over time; a few drops of water bring it back, and topping up works as well.

Where is it made?
