The tube says „Anal Lubricant - Hybrid Formula - water and silicone based“, so it is an anal gel with a hybrid formula, not a pure silicone gel. The difference is practical: a hybrid combines the staying power of silicone with the washability of water, and that is exactly what is needed for anal use, where the body contributes nothing of its own and where nobody wants to be left with a tacky film either. The manufacturer advertises accordingly with „ultra long lasting“ and „never sticky“ and states condom compatibility explicitly. The formula also contains aloe vera extract, the classic addition for milder recipes. One hundred millilitres is the everyday size. Do not combine it with silicone toys: the silicone content attacks silicone surfaces. It stands with the anal and fisting lubricant, under anal sex toys, in the drugstore section and with the sex toys for couples.

Why hybrid and not pure water?

Because a water gel dries in over a long session and you would have to keep topping it up. The silicone content keeps it slippery, the water content keeps it washable.

Does it get on with toys?
