How do you put it on?

It is easiest with two people. First the two upper arm straps go loosely round the arms, then the person being tied lays the forearms one on top of the other in the cuff behind the back. Only once everything is in place do you tighten the three cuff straps and then the upper arm straps hole by hole.

How long may the position last?

Only briefly, at first a few minutes. Arms behind the back pull the shoulders backwards and strain the joints and circulation. So check regularly how the hands and fingers feel and what colour they are. At numbness, tingling, cold or pain it is released at once, and whoever wears it is never left alone.

How tightly is it closed?

Firmly enough for the arms to stay put, but with room for one finger between strap and skin. Change position now and then instead of staying the same way for long, and do not lie on your back, because then the body weight rests on the arms. No strap ever goes round the neck, and nobody is pulled by the bound arms.

What stays within reach when the buckles are locked?

The key, within reach rather than next door. Also a pair of scissors that can cut through a strap in an emergency. Agree on a stop signal beforehand that works without words, and open everything at once as soon as it comes.

How do you care for the faux leather?
