What is a babydoll?

A short slip with narrow straps: it fits closely at the bust and falls loosely below. This one reaches roughly to the top of the thighs.

How much does the tulle let through?

A lot. The skin shimmers through, and the thong stays visible underneath; only the lace cups and the hem are denser.

How is the thong cut?

With a small triangle at the front, a thin waistband and a fine strip at the back.
