The magnetic ball stretcher by Steel is a ball ring made of high-gloss polished stainless steel with a round cross-section. A short section of the ring, the wedge, can be taken out; strong magnets hold it in place when closed. So you put it on without tools and take it off just as quickly. It comes in four sizes that differ in diameter and are all the same height. Worn above the testicles, it draws them down with its weight. How is it put on?

Wedge out, ring around, wedge back in. Pull the wedge off, guide the skin above the testicles through the gap and put the wedge back until the magnets hold it. Then check that no skin is caught between wedge and ring. A little lubricant, for example from water-based lubricant, helps when adjusting it; stainless steel takes any lubricant.

Which size fits?

The one that sits close without constricting. The size in the variant selection is the outer diameter, but the inner diameter decides the fit. If the skin below swells or turns dark, it is too small. If you are torn between two sizes, the larger one is the safer choice.

How long may it be worn?

Only briefly at first, 20 to 30 minutes at most in total. If you take blood thinners or have circulation problems, talk to a doctor first. At any pain, numbness, coldness, discolouration or swelling, take it off at once. Never tug at it and do not fall asleep wearing it. Steel cannot be cut open in an emergency; the magnetic wedge is therefore your quick way out. If you put it on a partner, never leave them alone with it.

What should I bear in mind with the magnets?

Keep away from pacemakers and other implants. Anyone with such an implant does not use the ring. The magnets pull strongly, so keep your fingers out of the gap when inserting the wedge.

How is it cleaned?

With warm water and mild soap, before and after every use. Take the wedge off for this and clean the contact surfaces too. Then dry everything thoroughly and keep ring and wedge together in a dry place.
