From the Banana series by Anais Men, a Spanish label that deliberately treats menswear as lingerie. Banana carries yellow bananas and red lips on a black ground. The boxer is the cut with the shortest leg: it ends just below the crotch and lies close there without cutting in. The fabric is 80% polyamide and 20% elastane and brings enough stretch to move along rather than pull; the wide waistband carries the brand lettering and holds without cutting in. How does the boxer differ from the brief?

By the leg. A brief ends at the hip and leaves the leg free, while a boxer adds a short leg section over it. That is a question of feel, not of fit: both sit the same at the waistband, only the boxer prevents rubbing on the inner thigh.

How do I wash it?

At thirty degrees on a delicate cycle, ideally in a laundry bag and together with similar colours. No fabric softener, no tumble dryer: both attack the elastane fibres, and those are exactly what holds the fit. Air drying is entirely enough and is quick with this fabric.
