How does the gradient get into the fabric?

It is dyed, not printed - which is why the transition runs right through the knit and does not break at the edges. No two pieces are ever quite identical; that is part of the process.

What does one size mean here?

Leg Avenue includes a size chart, and it comes with this article as an image: one size corresponds to EU 34 to 40, plus size EU 42 to 46. The fabric stretches a long way, the length does not - on a very tall frame the crotch pulls downwards.

Does the gradient bleed in the wash?

Some colour can come out in the first wash - so wash it on its own, cold and by hand. After that it settles. What really harms a gradient is weeks of sunlight.

How does the crotch close?

It does not: the body is worked in one piece and has no press studs. With lingerie of this kind that is the rule and the price of the clean line - the trip to the loo gets planned in.

Can it be worn as a top?

With high-waisted trousers or a skirt, yes - then only the neckline shows and the rest disappears into the waistband. How far you take that depends on the model, not on a rule.

How do you put it on without ruining it?

Rings off, nails checked, gather the body up and step into it rather than yanking at it. Fine knit forgives a lot, but not the ring on your finger.

How is it washed?

By hand in cold water or in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. No tumble dryer: elastane loses its tension in heat, and then nothing sits right any more.
