Why metal rather than silicone?

Because metal passes the oscillation on undamped. A silicone shell feels softer but absorbs part of the power; on a bullet with little motor to start with, every part counts. In return metal is hard and needs a lighter touch.

What is a bullet meant for?

For the outside, not the inside. A bullet has no retrieval flange and therefore does not belong inserted, and certainly not anally. Its strength is the small tip: it meets a spot rather than an area, and that is exactly what large devices cannot do.

How is it cleaned?

Warm water and toy cleaner, keeping clear of the charging contacts at the base and letting it dry completely. The only lubricant that belongs with it is water-based lubricant.

How loud is such a small device?

Quieter than a large vibrator because the motor is smaller, but not silent. Under a duvet a bullet does not stand out at any level; in a quiet room you hear it from the middle setting up.
