The Cock Ring Hoist from the Rock Solid range by Doc Johnson is made of clear, stretchy TPE and, besides the ring, has a moulded loop for the testicles that stands off at an angle. Both parts are one piece, so both have to fit. The ring is a wide, flat band from which the loop rises in an arc; seen from the side, the two form a V that meets at the bottom in a thickened bridge. How long may it be worn?

Twenty to thirty minutes at a stretch at most, and never fall asleep wearing it. If anything goes cold, numb, discoloured or painful, it comes off at once, sooner rather than later if in doubt. Then a break before it goes on again.

How is it put on?

While soft: first guide the testicles one at a time through the loop, then the penis through the ring, which then rests at the base of the penis.

Which size fits?

Ring and loop rest snugly without hurting. If either hurts, it is too tight; if it slips, it is too loose.

How does it come off again?

With cold water and patience, not with force. The congestion eases as soon as things cool, and then it comes off by itself. A stretchy ring can also be widened carefully.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one; a drop when putting it on is enough. Oil- or silicone-based lubricant can attack TPE. The selection is under water-based lubricant.

How is it cleaned?

After each use, wash it with warm water and mild soap, rinse it well and let it dry completely. Store it on its own and protected from dust, because TPE can take on colour from other toys.
