What does anatomically shaped mean?

The condom is not the same width all the way along but slightly wider towards the head than along the shaft. It therefore fits closely along the shaft and leaves a little more room at the front.

How can you tell that the size fits?

What matters is the girth of the erect penis, not its length. If a condom is too tight, it presses and tears more easily; if it is too loose, it can slip off.

How safe are they?

No condom protects one hundred per cent. Used correctly, it lowers the risk of sexually transmitted infections and of unplanned parenthood. If one tears or slips off, stop straight away and use a new one.

How do you put it on correctly?

Open the foil with your fingers, not with your teeth; never take a condom from a damaged foil. Squeeze the air out of the reservoir and roll the condom down the erect penis with the rolled rim on the outside. If it is on the wrong way round, use a new one. After ejaculation, hold it by the rim as you pull out.

Which lubricant goes with them?

Latex does not tolerate oil. Use only a water- or silicone-based lubricant, for example from water-based lubricant. Massage oil, petroleum jelly and body lotion attack the material.

What about a latex allergy?

Latex can cause allergic reactions, including severe ones. If you react to it, these condoms are not for you; you will find latex-free models under condoms.

How do you store them?

Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. A wallet, trouser pocket or glove box is unsuitable, because warmth and friction wear the latex. You no longer use condoms past their expiry date.

Are two condoms on top of each other safer?

No. Two layers rub against each other and tear more easily than one. Always use just one condom and a fresh one for every new round.
