❓ FAQ
What does the nominal width tell you?
It is the width of the condom lying flat and decides how snugly it sits. If it slips or constricts, a different width fits better.
How is it rolled on correctly?
Tear the foil open at a corner with your fingers; teeth and fingernails can damage the latex. Keep the tip pinched so that no air stays inside, and roll the condom all the way down the erect penis. The rim has to roll outwards; if you have put it on the wrong way round, take a fresh one. After ejaculation, hold the rim while you pull out the still erect penis.
Which lubricant goes with them?
If you add lubricant, use only a water- or silicone-based one. Oil, petroleum jelly, body lotion and massage oil make latex brittle. Suitable products are under water-based lubricant.
What about a latex allergy?
Then these condoms are not suitable. Latex can cause allergic reactions up to anaphylactic shock; in that case choose a latex-free condom.
Can you wear two at once?
No. Two condoms rub against each other and tear more easily. Always use just one, each only once, and afterwards put it in the household waste with a knot tied in it.
What do you check before opening?
The expiry date on the foil and that the foil is undamaged; if it is torn or out of date, take another condom. Keep them in a cool, dry place out of sunlight.
How well does a condom protect?
No condom protects completely: it lowers the risk of infections and of unplanned parenthood, but cannot rule out either. What matters is that it sits correctly from start to finish.
