The Pure condoms from EXS are ultra-thin condoms made of latex. They are meant for everyone who wants to feel as little material as possible between themselves and the other person during sex. Each condom comes individually in a white wrapper with a delicate wave pattern, a gold EXS logo and the black lettering Pure; the edge of the wrapper is serrated all round. There are two pack sizes: a slim white box with gold lettering holding twelve condoms, and a supply of 100 in a clear bag. EXS is a brand that has existed since 1993. Which lubricant suits it?

One that is water- or silicone-based. Oil, petroleum jelly and rich creams attack latex and make the condom brittle within minutes, so leave them out. You will find a selection under water-based lubricant.

What matters when putting it on?

Open the wrapper at the serrated edge with your fingers, not with your teeth or scissors. The condom goes on before the first contact. Squeeze the tip so no air stays inside and roll it all the way down; if it will not unroll, it is the wrong way round, and you take a new one. Always use just one, because two on top of each other rub together and tear more easily.

How do you store the condoms?

Dry, cool and dark, so not permanently in a wallet, the glovebox or next to the radiator; heat and light take their toll on latex. The expiry date is printed on every single wrapper, and an expired condom is not used any more.

What applies afterwards?

Hold the condom at the rim while pulling out, as long as the penis is still erect, so it does not slip off. Then wrap it in a tissue and put it in the household waste, not down the toilet. Every condom is used only once, and switching between anal and vaginal means a fresh one.

What if you react to latex?

Anyone allergic to latex takes a latex-free model instead, such as the Pull Non Latex from EXS; the same applies if only the other person is affected.
