The Corset Lagerta by Casmir is a black basque in size L/XL. The centre is made of smooth, shiny fabric, the cups and sides carry sheer inserts with a multicoloured zigzag pattern in shades of red, green and beige, their edges trimmed in black, and below the bust fine straps stretch across an open cut-out. The lower edge ends at hip level, where suspenders for stockings sit, and at the upper back, between the two narrow shoulder straps, there is a teardrop-shaped cut-out. The material is polyester with elastane, stretchy and close-fitting. The narrow shoulder straps join the cups via small gold-coloured rings. On sizing: lingerie fits differently from brand to brand, and with stretchy material the size above is the more comfortable one when in doubt, because anything that pinches does not get worn. How are the stockings attached?

Put on the corset first, then the stockings, and close the suspenders last: open the clip, slip in the top of the stocking, close the clip. Each leg has one suspender at the front and one at the back.

How is the corset washed?

By hand at thirty degrees, without fabric softener and on its own, because dark lingerie can bleed on the first wash; it is dried lying flat. Softener takes the tension out of the elastics. Close the suspender clips beforehand so that they do not snag on the fabric.

Are stockings included?

No, stockings are not included. The earrings in the pictures are not included either. The suspenders are part of the corset, and you buy the stockings separately. Stockings with a wide, firm top hold best, because the clips can grip it securely; the selection is under lingerie.

How is the corset stored?

Lying flat, not folded and not on a hanger, with the suspenders laid straight down so that the straps do not twist. Delicate inserts warp when they hang, and elastics go slack when they lie permanently stretched.
