A pair of cuffs for wrists or ankles from the Halo range by Ouch!: two cuffs in petrol PU leather, a deep blue-green, with a tapered, adjustable strap. Each cuff carries a large gold ring. A short connector in the same material, with small rings and a snap hook at each end, clips in there and holds the two together. Wrist or ankle?

Both. The strap adjusts in width, so the cuffs sit on wrists and on ankles.

Can the connector be removed?

Yes. Open the two snap hooks and you wear two separate cuffs. Via the large rings they can then also be linked to other restraints, a chain or a rope.

How does play stay safe?

Close the cuffs only so tight that one finger still fits underneath, and check circulation and feeling in the hands or feet regularly: tingling, numbness, cold or discoloured skin mean open them at once. The tied person is never left alone and never stays long in the same position. Agree on a stop signal beforehand and keep safety scissors within reach. Restraints never go round the neck.

How does the wide strap wear?

A wide strap spreads the pull over a larger area than a narrow band and so presses less at single points. Lay the smooth side flat against the skin without letting the strap twist.

Is it real leather?

No. PU leather is a faux leather with a smooth, closed surface, made without any animal hide.

How do you care for them?

Wipe PU leather with a damp cloth and let it air-dry, no washing machine and no radiator. Rub the gold-coloured fittings dry afterwards so no water marks remain. Store them dry and without sharp creases.
