The Oral Dam from EXS is a rectangular dental dam in a natural colour. During oral sex on a vulva or anus it lies as a thin sheet between mouth and skin. There are five varieties: banana, cola, grape and strawberry are made of latex and flavoured, while the Neutral variety comes without aroma. Each dam is packed individually in a flat pouch whose colour shows the variety, each with the round EXS logo and the expiry date. The latex dams conform to the international standard ISO 29942. It sits under condoms, under drugstore and in our sexual preparations section.

How do you use it?

Open the pouch carefully with your fingers and lay the dam flat over the vulva or anus. Hold it at the edges with your hands and do not turn it over during use; the side lying against the skin stays there.

How often can you use it?

Only once. Each dam is meant for one use and one person; when switching between anal and vaginal or to another person, you take a new one. Afterwards it goes in the household waste.

Which lubricant suits it?

A water-based one, a drop on the side that lies against the skin; that way the dam sits better and you feel more. Oil, petroleum jelly and rich creams attack latex and do not belong on the latex varieties. You will find a selection under water-based lubricant.

And if you cannot tolerate latex?

Then you take the Neutral variety, because it is the only latex-free one and also carries the CE mark. The same applies if only the other person reacts to latex.

How do you store the dams?

Dry, cool and out of direct sunlight, ideally in a drawer. A dam past its date is not used any more.
