Why more length at the same girth?

Because the two do different things. Girth stretches, length reaches. If you take the width of the step below well and still want more, this is the answer without adding diameter.

What does the two-density build do?

It separates hold from feel. A dildo that is soft all through buckles under pressure, one that is firm all through feels hard. What does the suction base hold on to?

What do I need to know about TPE?

TPE is soft and warms up quickly, but it is not non-porous. It can be cleaned, not sterilised, and it does not tolerate boiling.
