Is the dress crotchless?

No. Crotchless describes an open crotch - a feature on bodies and bodystockings, meaningless on a dress. What this dress has are slashes in the fabric; the name in the shop was misleading.

What does one size mean here?

Leg Avenue lists one size as EU 34 to 40 and plus size as EU 42 to 46. With bodystockings the width is rarely the problem - the fabric stretches a long way. The length is: it hardly stretches, and on a very tall frame the crotch pulls downwards.

Do the slashes tear further?

Not by themselves: the edges are knitted in and therefore firm. What is dangerous is rings and fingernails while putting it on - after that the bridges take movement without trouble.

How do you put it on without ruining it?

Like tights: rings off, nails checked, gather the fabric down to the foot, step in and roll it up bit by bit. Anyone yanking at it catches a stitch - and that one ladders.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it straight away. It is not pretty, but it saves the evening - and on coarse net you hardly see it.

How is it washed?

By hand in cold water or in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. No dryer and no fabric softener - both take the tension out of the yarn.

Do you wear anything underneath?

With see-through fabric that decides the whole effect: a thong and an adhesive bra leave the line untouched, an ordinary bra shows through. On the product photos there is usually only a thong.
