The Peek-A-Boo mini dress from the Scandal line by CalExotics is a short, close-fitting dress in black net with floral lace. Several narrow straps run over each shoulder, at the front a wide-mesh lattice runs from the neckline to the waist, two more mesh windows open at the sides, and at the back a similar panel runs diagonally across. The skirt part is almost entirely floral lace and ends at the upper thigh. The material is a blend of 96% nylon and 4% elastane, and the dress is worn as lingerie. Which size fits?

It is one size in stretchy net that fits most standard sizes. If you are well above or below that, try it on before the evening so that nothing pinches.

How is it washed?

By hand only, lukewarm and without fabric softener, then dry it flat. Softener takes the tension out of the elastane, and in the machine the wide mesh snags easily. Dark textiles can bleed on the first wash, so wash it separately.

What do you wear underneath?

The net is sheer, so briefs or nothing at all; black briefs stand out least under the lace. Lingerie and stockings to combine are under lingerie.

How is it stored?

Lying flat or loosely folded, not on a hanger, because the net warps when it hangs. Keep it away from Velcro and jewellery, where the mesh snags.

How do I put it on?

From the bottom up: gather the dress down to the hem, step into it and pull it up slowly over the hips. Only then place the straps over your shoulders and straighten the lattice panels. Take off rings beforehand so that nothing catches in the mesh.
