How do you put the cuffs on?

The buckle is opened, the cuff placed around the wrist and the strap pulled through until the pin goes into a suitable slot. Then the chain is hooked into the two D-rings with its snap hooks.

Why the lining?

So that faux fur rather than faux leather lies against the wrist: the lining is soft, pads the inside and, where it stands out, covers the edges as well.
