What does splash proof actually mean?

It takes splashes and a rinse under the tap, but not being submerged. The joint at the twist base is where water can get in; hold it downwards while cleaning and dry it afterwards. Do not put it into water, not even briefly: the base is a twist joint and not a seal, and a damp battery only shows days later.

Which batteries does it need?

Standard cells, which are not included. Take them out if the toy is put away for a while: leaked batteries are the most common reason such devices stop working after a few months.

How is it cleaned?
