The Aloe Vera Bubblegum lubricant by Bruma is a transparent water-based gel with aloe vera and a bubblegum flavour. It is fluid and feels silky, and the white tube stands on its black screw cap, so the gel always sits right at the opening. Because it is water-based, it washes off with clear water. The price is that it soaks in faster than an oil. The flavour gives it scent and taste, but it is still not meant to be swallowed. If you react sensitively, try a new gel on the inside of your elbow first, and do not use it on irritated or broken skin. For anal use the rule holds throughout: take more than you think. Lubricant is not only for emergencies either: even if you get wet on your own, a little gel keeps the friction even, especially when things take longer. Is it condom-safe?

Yes. Water-based gels do not attack latex, unlike oil and petroleum jelly, which make a condom useless within minutes. Condoms are under condoms.

What do you do when it soaks in?

What is in it?

Water and glycerin form the base, and hydroxyethylcellulose gives it its gel form. Added to that are flavouring, aloe vera leaf juice and saccharin as a sweetener; it contains no sugar. If you react to fragrances: limonene, citral and eugenol are included.

How long does it keep once opened?

Twelve months. Screw the cap back on straight after each use and keep the tube at room temperature.
