Is this real leather?

No. Collar and grip loop are made of faux leather based on PU and PVC, and the scale pattern is embossed into the surface. The material therefore needs no leather grease.

How do you set the width?

It is adjusted with a stud and several holes at the end of the strap. Try the width once without the leash and remember the right hole, then the collar sits correctly straight away next time.

Can the collar be worn without the leash?

Yes. Without the leash you have an eye-catching collar with a gold-coloured O-ring that can be worn on its own; you only hook on the leash when there is to be leading.

How does play stay safe?

The collar is never used for pulling, choking or suspension. One finger always fits between neck and band, breathing and swallowing stay free. The leash is only for guiding, never for jerking.
