The Handcuffs in a Bag by Doc Johnson are vegan leather cuffs with a velvet lining. They close with Velcro and are joined by two snap hooks, which sit on tabs on the cuffs, and a metal ring in the middle; separated, they can also be clipped in individually for other positions. The metal parts are nickel-free. The lining decides whether restraints stay comfortable over time, and imitation leather has the practical advantage over real leather that it takes moisture. How tightly may they sit?

So that two fingers fit underneath, and not a millimetre tighter. The Velcro adjusts steplessly; set it before you start, not midway. Open them at once if there is numbness, coldness or pale skin.

How do you get them off quickly?

Pull the Velcro open and that is it; no key is needed. If they are clipped together, undo the snap hook first.

What should be discussed beforehand?

Limits and a safeword. A safeword is a word that is not part of the play and at which everything stops at once: no questions, no discussion. Along with an agreement on what is allowed in this session and what is not. Both are settled soberly and in advance, not in the middle of things. Anyone gagged needs a signal instead of a word.
