How are they closed and opened?

The bow swings through the lock housing and clicks in, tighter notch by notch. They open with the key in the keyhole; without it the cuff does not open any further.

How tight is right?

Tight enough that the hand cannot slip through, and loose enough that one finger fits between metal and skin. Pressure from outside can tighten a cuff by a notch afterwards, so keep checking the fit.

Where do the keys go?

One within reach next to you before the first cuff closes, the second in a fixed place as a spare. Test unlocking once without a wrist, so the move is second nature if it has to be quick.

What is off limits during play?
