The Spangle handcuffs by Crushious are metal handcuffs with a soft black plush trim shot through with glittering silver threads, plus a short chain and two keys. The plush is polyester and wraps the cuff rings all round; only the silver lock housing and the chain stay bare. It takes the edge off the metal but does not change the principle: the cuffs click shut in steps and tighten further when tugged. Under the plush there is triple-layer sheet metal, so the cuffs have a noticeable weight. The two keys hang together on a small ring. How tightly may they sit?

So that two fingers fit between plush and skin, and not a millimetre tighter. Set them correctly beforehand and do not yank on them. Open them at once if there is numbness, coldness or pale skin, and never leave anyone restrained alone, not even briefly.

What if the key is lost?

Two are included, and one belongs within reach in a fixed place in the room where both of you will find it, not in a trouser pocket.
