Where is the harness adjusted?

At four buckles. Two sit at the front of the shoulder straps and set how high the rings lie on the chest; two sit at the front left and right of the chest strap and set its width. To put it on, open the chest strap and slip the harness over your shoulders.

How tight may it sit?

Two fingers must fit under every strap. The chest strap in particular lies on the ribcage, which has to expand freely when you breathe in deeply without the strap pulling tight. Leather barely stretches; whatever presses when you put it on will not loosen by itself. If you feel tingling, numbness or see red pressure marks, loosen the buckles at once.

Is the harness meant for restraint?

No, it is made to be worn. The rings join the straps together. Never hang body weight from them, do not jerk on them and do not use the harness for restraint or suspension.

What kind of leather is this?

Genuine cowhide, vegetable tanned. The wide straps are firm and become suppler with wear.

How do you care for the leather?

Wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth after wearing and let it dry in the air, not on a radiator and not in the sun. Never soak it or put it in the washing machine. A little leather balm now and then keeps the straps supple. Store the harness somewhere cool and dry, ideally hanging rather than folded.
