The article stood in the shop as an „anal lubricant“ - but in the box sits a pump spray, not a gel. „Relax-Spray“ is on the packaging, below it „enjoy your anal adventure relaxed“. The type has therefore been changed to intimate spray, as with the other anal relaxation sprays in the range. What such a spray does and does not do is the most important statement: it is meant to make relaxing easier - numbing is not its job, and no anaesthetic is declared on it either. The difference is no quibble: pain during anal sex is a warning, and anyone who numbs it away notices an injury only afterwards. Does the spray numb?

No. It is declared as a relaxation spray, not as an anaesthetic. That is an advantage: numbing takes away the warning that pain during anal sex means.

Does it replace the lubricant?

No, a spray does not glide. Lubricant remains mandatory and is taken too sparingly rather than too generously - the anal sex guide explains why.

How is it used?

Spray externally onto the area and let it work for a few minutes before going on. Start sparingly and wait to see how it feels.

What does „medical lubricant“ mean?

It is printed on every tube of the range and is a classification, not a health claim: pH-optimized, dermatologically and clinically tested, meant for mucous membranes. A medicine it is not.

Does it get on with toys and condoms?

With both. That is the advantage of a water base: silicone oil attacks silicone toys, oil makes condoms unsafe - a water gel has neither problem.

Where is it made?

In Germany - JoyDivision prints „Made with Love in Germany“ on the packaging. With lubricants that is no footnote: the ingredient list is therefore declared under German cosmetics law.

Do you have to top it up?

On longer sessions yes, that comes with a water base. The gel dries in over time; a few drops of water bring it back, and topping up works as well.
