Why did a different measurement stand in the field before?

The record carried 3.4 centimetres as the length. The table on the box names three measurements, and 3.4 is the smallest of them - the thickness of the heart. It is eight centimetres long and seven and a half wide.

What does the nub do?

It taps rather than vibrates. The difference is clear: vibration is an even tremor, tapping is a series of separate beats you still feel individually after minutes.

How does one hold a heart?

Between thumb and forefinger at the wide side, notch downwards. The shape is easier to grip than it looks - the edge gives the thumb purchase.

May it go into the shower?
