Do the straps stay in place on their own?

Yes, they are sewn in. What looks like a harness laid on top is part of the cut and therefore does not slip.

Can you see through the blindfold?

No, it is lined. The lace sits on the outside and a second fabric covers within - otherwise it would be decoration only.
