What does a high garter belt do differently?

It sits on the waist instead of the hips and spreads the pull over more surface. That slips less, but it shows more clearly under clothing.

The field said only black - is that right?

Eighty per cent polyester and twenty per cent elastane. Polyester holds the shape and dries quickly, elastane gives the stretch - without the second part no piece of this kind would sit tightly, without the first it would be stretched out after three wears.
