Do the colours run in the wash?

The stripes are dyed yarn, not a print. Even so: cold water, wash separately and do not soak - with strong colours the first wash is always the risk.

How opaque is the set?

Not at all. Both pieces are single-layered and the mesh is large. Over a plain bikini it becomes a festival outfit.

How do you put it on without damaging it?

Rings off, nails checked, gather the fabric rather than pulling it. Fine mesh and lace almost always tear in the same place: where a fingernail catches on the way up.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it at once. On coarse net you hardly see the spot, because the pattern is open anyway; on fine lace it stays visible.

Can it be worn under clothes?
