She is inflated through a valve that opens again without tools. The material is PVC, soft enough to give and strong enough to take pressure. Lubricant belongs with her, but only water-based: silicone and oil-based products attack PVC and make it brittle over time. How long does inflating take?

A few minutes by hand, considerably faster with an air pump. The valve holds the air as soon as you press it back in. Do not inflate her tight; a little give is more comfortable and easier on the seams.

How is she cleaned?

With lukewarm water and neutral soap, valve closed. Then pat her down with a towel and let her air dry before folding her up. An antibacterial liquid helps where needed; hot water does not.

How do I store her?

Let the air out and fold her away dry, without sharp creases. Avoid direct sun and radiator heat, as both make PVC brittle. She is best kept loosely folded in the original packaging or a pouch.

Does the material stay airtight?

With careful handling, yes. Fingernails, jewellery and rough surfaces are the risk, as a small tear in the material is hard to patch reliably. A soft surface underneath is therefore more than just comfortable.
