Why a gel with no additives at all?

Because every additive is also a chance of reacting to something. A neutral water gel is the one you can always keep in the house - aroma and warmth exist in the same range.

Does it get on with toys and condoms?

With both. That is the advantage of a water base: silicone oil attacks silicone toys, oil makes condoms unsafe - a water gel has neither problem.

Do you have to top it up?

On longer sessions yes, that comes with a water base. The gel dries in over time; a few drops of water bring it back, and topping up works as well.

Does it come out of laundry?

Yes. Water-based gels wash out and leave no grease stains - unlike any oil.
