How much water do I take?

That depends on how thick you want it. Five hundred millilitres per sachet give a light gel, half of that a distinctly stiffer mass. You can add more at any time, but not take it back.

Why does it lump while mixing?

Because the powder goes into the water too fast. Sprinkle it in slowly while stirring and it hardly happens. Remaining lumps dissolve if the mixture stands for a few minutes.

How long does the mixed gel keep?

A few days when chilled and well sealed. There are no preservatives in it, so it is better to mix smaller amounts. The dry sachets, by contrast, keep for a very long time.
