No, it ties on. That is why it sits independently of the width of the dress and can also be left off.

Does the cap stay on by itself?

Yes, it sits on a band. The band disappears in the hair; clips are only needed with very smooth hair.

How does the size come out?

How is it washed?

By hand at thirty degrees, with a delicate detergent and no fabric softener. In the machine only inside a laundry bag on a gentle cycle; a tumble dryer ruins the elastic.
