The Black Ops Hood from the Fort Troff range by Doc Johnson is a hood of perforated stretch neoprene. It encloses the head and eyes, leaves a large opening for the mouth and stretches until it fits closely. The perforation runs all the way round, from the forehead to the nape, and lets air through; with a hood that encloses the whole head that is precisely the condition. The edge of the face opening is neatly bound, and an olive green badge with the Fort Troff logo sits at the back of the head. Whoever faces the wearer sees no expression any more and has to read differently. The most important rule hangs on that: when the face gives nothing away, a signal has to be agreed, and beforehand. Is there enough air underneath?

Yes, if the nose stays free, and it always has to. Anything restricting nose breathing is a reason to take it off at once, not to push through; the same applies as soon as the wearer feels uneasy.

Can you see anything under it?

Barely. Outlines and movement can be made out, details cannot. So only move around in a room with nothing in the way, and let yourself be guided.

Who should not use this?

How is it cleaned?

It is machine washable; afterwards let it air dry, not on the radiator.

How is it put on?

You pull it over the head from behind until the eyes are covered and the mouth and chin lie free in the opening; the badge then sits at the back of the head. It comes off the other way round, starting at the lower edge at the nape.
